InnoVillage

Building a vibrant maker ecosystem for innovation, entrepreneurship, and advanced manufacturing in rural and tribal communities

What is InnoVillage?

InnoVillage Maker EcosystemImage: 900x400px';">

InnoVillage is a comprehensive innovation and entrepreneurship development initiative implemented by The Good Human Being Foundation (TGHBF) to establish a multi-stakeholder innovation ecosystem in rural and tribal regions. The intervention facilitates convergence of diverse actors—including engineers, scientists, manufacturers, makers, and local entrepreneurs—to co-create contextually relevant technological solutions and advance local economic development through innovation-driven entrepreneurship.

Building upon TGHBF's established Maker Space infrastructure, developed through strategic partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), InnoVillage represents a systematic scale-up of the Foundation's innovation capacity-building approach. The initiative is designed to strengthen local innovation systems, enhance community resilience, and create sustainable pathways for rural and tribal populations to address development challenges through technology transfer, skills development, and entrepreneurial capacity building, while contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
